I saw the colour of Your work Lord
in the first Jasmine flower, the bud of the Clivia
in the green leaf streching from a frost burnt branch.
New life is dawning from the Creator’s hand.

I heard Your soft whisper Lord
in the giggles of girls at play
in the purr of my cat.
Joy expressed at Your presence in the other.

I felt how You touched me Lord
as the wind caressed my cheek
while the sun warmed my skin.
Your love moved me to find you more.

I tasted Your sweetness Lord
as I shared with a friend
and sipped tea in company.
We both knew You were there.

Then I remembered Your promise
“I’ll never leave nor forsake you
and my helper is there.”

Now each day I pause
to sense for that moment
Your presence
still there.
